My name is Steve and I live in Halifax, Nova
Scotia, Canada
and I am a collector of hockey cards. I would like to over time discuss all
aspects of hockey cards such as hockey card price guide of which the more
used present day is Beckett price guide, hockey card values and how their card hockey
value is determined, and all aspects of hockey trading card and how it has
developed into an online hockey card price guide for all types of nhl hockey
card for all over the world hockey card collector even the local Canadian
issue called mcdonalds hockey card which sometimes have in them a hockey rookie
card of players but the best product for rc over the years is the o pee chee hockey
card with the most demand of the current issues is the upper deck hockey card,
although in the late 1990'2 the pro set hockey card was extremely sought after
as it was affordable to all collectors. The topps hockey card is a long standing
collectible hockey card with some of the most vintage hockey card along with the
parkhurst hockey card,. Now they have wax packs with card hockey jersey in them
and sometimes sold by hockey card auction. All hockey card for sale can be sold
at card shows where most people and collectors sell hockey card
and buy hockey card. For insurance purposes you should consider the appraisal card
hockey and its value to you in determining what your cards are worth even the autographed hockey
card which is very popular in present day wax packs like be a player hockey card
a very popular hockey sport card unlike a similar past cards manufacturer called
bowman hockey card. At the local hockey card show you see lots of variety of pacific hockey
card to help you complete your hockey card set, but you must have an up to date hockey card
checklist before buying hockey card so you only purchase once and don't have
doubles. One of my favorite is pinnacle hockey card which had alot of color and
very sharp pictures in regards to all aspects of the hobby and card collecting.
The first question is what is a hockey card. To me it is a
picture that represents a moment in time that showcases history. I collected hockey's
back in the late 1960's and early 1970's then again in the mid 1980's. I
remember because in 1998 I was looking in a storage place underneath a coffee
table and I saw these boxes that had open packs of hockey cards with the gum
removed and the cards still in the wrappers. I remember in the 5 boxes all those
just out of the pack 1985 OPC rookie cards of Steve Yzerman. That name stood out
so I can remember that it was Steve Yzermans rookie card year of the hockey wax
packs I had opened back in 1985. To me hockey cards bring back unique memories
like these. Back in 1985 there was only two card companies, each putting
out on set of hockey cards per year. Now each card manufacturing company puts
out alot of card sets per year. If I remember correctly the current card
companies are Upper deck, Topps which also produces OPC hockey card, and Pacific. There used
to be Donruss and Leaf and Pinnacle and Score that manufactured hockey cards. If
you have any interesting stories you experienced with your hockey card
collecting like this please Email
me so I can share it here with other hockey card enthusiasts.
A hockey card price is determined by a hockey card price guide which lists the hockey card values as each card hockey value is different based on grade and condition. Hockey trading card has an online hockey card price guide, of which the more popular is Beckett Price Guide which has a list with price value of what each NHL hockey card is worth, from when cards were first produced to the present day, the collectible hockey card value is based on what someone is willing to pay for that particular card. I am a hockey card collector and I save the local issued Canadian hockey card of NHL players sold at McDonalds Restaurants who are exclusive sellers of these packages of McDonalds hockey card. The value of a hockey rookie card of a player who scores lots of goals or a goalie who has a great record has more value than a defenseman. The o pee chee hockey card was one of the first type of cards ever produced with its sister company producing the topps hockey card. OPC hockey card was one of the first vintage sets produced and was manufactured by Parkhurst hockey card. Present day the Upper deck hockey card is one of the more popular cards today. Pro set hockey card was available in the late 1990's during the peak time when interest in sports card collecting was most popular. One of the other more popular card manufacturers at this time was Pinnacle Brands that produced the score hockey card. Now they have a piece of a player jerseys as part of the actual card. I have most every card produced for the Halifax Mooseheads hockey team and I sometimes sell hockey cards but it is my hobby so I only sell my doubles. I prefer getting autographed hockey card in person so I can see and appreciate what the autograph is worth to me. I know of a hockey card wholesaler who wholesales hockey cards and all types of sports cards. Here is a place that will soon be offering offering for sale singles online at Expressively Yours Greetings OPC Hockey Card to help you complete all your hard to complete opc hockey card sets.from 1974 to the present.
I look forward to seeing you again.
